This refreshing fruit salad is quick to make and perfect for any occasion. We love that it uses fruit that you can easily find at the grocery store too!

If you love fruit salad, you’ll love our Fruit Salad Infused Water. During the summer we make tons of fruit salad recipes too, like our Cantaloupe Fruit Salad, Watermelon Salad with Cucumber and Mint or even a Fruit Salsa which is great with a meal.

    Easy Fruit Salad Ingredients

    • Pineapple: Use fresh pineapple, chopped into bite-sized pieces. See how to cut a pineapple.
    • Strawberries: Strawberries add sweetness and color. If you can’t eat strawberries you can add other red fruit like watermelon, raspberries, red apples, or cherries.
    • Apples: We went with Granny Smith apples to add some tartness, but you can use any types of apples you prefer.
    • Kiwi: Peel and chop into small pieces. You can also use yellow kiwi!
    • Honey: We recommend raw, organic honey for natural sweetness.
    • Orange: We prefer fresh squeezed orange juice and you can even use some of the orange zest for even more orange flavor.

How to Make Easy Fruit Salad

In a large bowl, combine the chopped pineapple, apples, and kiwi.

Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

    Recipe tips and notes:

    • When mixing, gently toss the fruit to avoid bruising.
    • Add a splash of lemon or lime juice for extra citrus flavor. You can also use the zest!
    • Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and flavor.
    • Overripe fruits can make the salad mushy and less appetizing.
    • Chilling helps the flavors meld together, enhancing the overall taste.

Can I use different fruits in this salad?

Yes, you can customize this fruit salad by adding or omitting fruits such as oranges, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, pears, peaches, plums, pomegranate, mangoes, grapes, etc.

What can I use instead of honey to make this vegan?

You can use maple syrup, agave nectar, or even a simple syrup made from equal parts sugar and water in place of the honey.

How do you prevent the apples from browning?

The acid from the orange juice will prevent the apples from browning.

Can I make this fruit salad ahead of time?

Yes, but we recommend only a few hours prior for optimal freshness of the fruit.

How long will this fruit salad last?

Leftover fruit salad should be stored in the refrigerator. Enjoy within 2 days!

Can I use store bought orange juice instead of fresh squeezed?

Yes, you can use store bought orange juice if fresh oranges are not available. We prefer the taste of fresh squeezed though.

Hi Kim! One orange typically yields about 1/4 cup of juice.
