    Cabbage Steak Ingredients

    • Cabbage: Go for a medium sized cabbage head, you don’t want too large or too small.
    • Olive oil: Adds moisture and a bit of flavor while it helps with roasting, but you can also use avocado oil!
    • Garlic: We love using fresh garlic for this, it gives it a great flavor!
    • Salt: You can salt to taste.
    • Pepper: If you prefer, you can leave the pepper out.

    How to Make Cabbage Steaks

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage, and trim the stem until it is flat on the bottom.

Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    Recipe tips and notes:

For a hint of sweetness, drizzle a little balsamic vinegar over the cabbage before roasting.
Add a sprinkle of smoked paprika or cumin for an extra layer of flavor.
Store leftover cabbage steaks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes to maintain crispiness.
For a vegan twist, top with nutritional yeast before baking for a cheesy flavor.
