Green Apple Juice Ingredients
- Granny Smith apples: Provide a sweet-tart base and a refreshing flavor. You can also add sweet apples like fuji, but it will impact the color if using the skin.
- Cucumber: Adds hydration and a mild, crisp taste. Use organic and keep the skin on.
- Celery stalks: We always have celery in our green juice, it is such a great addition!
- Ginger: Adds a zesty, slightly spicy kick to balance the flavors, no need to peel the skin either, just wash well.
How to Make Green Apple Juice
Wash the Granny Smith apples, cucumber, celery stalks, and ginger thoroughly under running water.
Core the apple and prep the produce as needed to fit in your juicer.
Feed all the prepared ingredients into your juicer, alternating between hard and soft items for even extraction.
Once juiced, stir the mixture to combine all flavors evenly.
Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately, or chill briefly for a cooler drink.
Recipe tips and alternatives
- Add more greens! Great options are kale, spinach, cabbage, cilantro and even parsley!
- For a sweeter juice, add a small piece of pineapple or a sweet apple like fuji apple, keep in mind a red apple will alter the color.
- Store any leftover juice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 72 hours as long as you’re using a slow juicer that’s called a masticating juicer and not a fast centrifugal juicer.
- If you don’t have a juicer, blend the ingredients in a high-speed blender and strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
- Adjust the amount of ginger to suit your spice tolerance. Omit if preferred.

What measurements would I need if I only wanted to use 2 granny smilth apples?
I can’t have ginger so I will be omitting it.
Courtney
If you’re using just 2 Granny Smith apples and skipping the ginger, try using about 1/2 of a cucumber and 1 stalk of celery for a smaller, balanced batch of juice! 🙂
