We love making mashed butternut squash. It’s full of flavor and naturally sweet. We make roasted butternut squash and then mash it up in our Vitamix blender for the creamiest and dreamiest mashed butternut squash.
We do puree this squash using our Vitamix so that it could work perfectly as a butternut squash puree as well. Add a little broth, and it’s a perfect soup!

HOW TO MAKE MASHED BUTTERNUT SQUASH
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Wash and cut the butternut squash in half. Scoop out the seeds and then chop up your butternut squash into 3/4-1 inch cubes.
- Place chopped butternut squash onto a silpat or parchement lined baking sheet and toss with avocado oil.
- Roast butternut squash for 20 minutes or until the squash is fully cooked and easy to mash with a fork.
- Transfer the squash to your Vitamix and add in any butter if desired.
- Season the squash to taste and enjoy.
