    When you wake up, you could easily just dump all of your favorites into a blender and make a nutritional breakfast smoothie. This is one of our favorite smoothie recipes we’ll make alongside breakfast. Enjoy a great breakfast with this smoothie would be some sauteed greens and pasture raised eggs!

    This smoothie is a probiotic powerhouse when you use greek yogurt or kefir with billions of active live cultures. Our gut health is important for our overall health, and we start each day with a smoothie with kefir or greek yogurt. Another great option is our Greek yogurt breakfast bowl.

    Strawberry and banana just go well together, you’ll find many recipes that have these two paired up. Strawberries add tons of antioxidants, polyphenols, and other nutrients, vitamins, even fiber! Bananas are loaded with potassium, b vitamins and are very filling, especially great after workouts.

    To make a strawberry banana smoothie you need only a few ingredients and a blender.

    • frozen strawberries
    • fresh banana
    • kefir or yogurt + milk

    Mix it all into the blender for a probiotic treat that’s sweet!

    We use a high speed blender to make all of our smoothies. By using a high speed blender we ensure we’re not getting a ton of seeds or large chunks, the end result in a high speed blender is a super smooth smoothie.

    If you don’t have kefir or don’t like the tang, you can use milk+greek yogurt to get a drinkable yogurt consistency which makes for a creamy smoothie.

    We slightly tilted the glasses so you could see the difference of how it coats the glass. The milk+greek yogurt is on the left, and the kefir is on the right. We use Nancy’s kefir in our house as well as Nancy’s yogurt which is LOADED with billions of probiotics. Their kefir is creamy, tang, and beyond delicious. We have not been paid to say this, we just love Nancy’s and think you will love their products too!

    Ingredients

    • 1/3 cup milk
    • 2/3 cup greek yogurt
    • 1 banana fresh
    • 1 cup strawberries frozen

    Instructions

    • Pour the milk and greek yogurt into your blender. (or kefir)
    • Place the banana and then the strawberries into the blender.
    • Blend on high speed until nice and smooth. 
    • Serve and enjoy!
