Having a garden of your own is rewarding in many ways. You can have your own free produce, ensure that the product is pesticide free, and even get to care for your plants and see them grow. There are plenty of struggles with balcony gardens, for example: no sun, having to do a container garden, no rain water, and most importantly space.
We shopped around the local plant stores and just couldn’t find the right containers for our balcony container garden. We found terra cotta, boring plastic, metal, tin, stone or heavy expensive wood containers. So we took the online route. We shopped the outdoor section on BrylaneHome and we’re definitely pleased with the products right away. In the picture above you can see that the container doesn’t sit directly on the ground, allowing water to fall through the bottom. We also have an issue with rain water sometimes flooding through onto our balcony, that lift also means our plants won’t sit in that dirty rain water that most likely is full of pesticides.
While you can no longer purchase the smaller planter you can still find the Flower Box with Trellis from BrylaneHome. Don’t mind all the pinwheels.. that’s what happens when you have a toddler. 🙂 Can you see over in the far top left how our neighbors plant is doing?
Overall we’re extremely happy with our products from BrylaneHome. I wish I had a hose to clean the up a bit, but after all it’s a garden, and gardens have dirt. I wipe them down when we have company, otherwise they look loved and used a bit.
This little one loves to make sure the garden grows and waters them every morning. We use an all natural fertilizer as well as soil.
I’ve been looking for some outdoor planters for sale for my wife, and see what I can find. She really likes outdoor planters, and having her own little variation of a garden. I like how you talked about looking at plant stores for outdoor planters for sale and seeing what I can find!
Hope you found some good planters! 🙂
