Healthy and refreshing, Grape Slushie Recipe Our Grape Slushie Recipe is so good that you’ll be buying grapes galore. We love grapes fresh, frozen, slushified and in some recipes too! Learn how to make a slushie that is healthy using healthy ingredients.
Grape Slushies are so refreshing!
Grapes are so sweet and juicy! We simply wash them and freeze to snack on instead of eating ice creams or ices. The little one loves when we freeze them and turn them into a healthy slushie drink for her. You can make it green or purple! That’s what we love so much about fruit and veggies, the colors! It’s fun to see what you can do with a simple ingredient and just transform it on its own without much altering.
Love grapes? Try out our Concord Grape Juice Recipe!
This recipe is super simple, super healthy and downright deliciousness. We always have grapes in the freezer and it’s nice to be able to make this whenever. Just a few weeks ago our local grocery market had a huge sale on grapes, $1.99 lb for organic! We got $50 worth, washed and froze them! Crazy to think that they’re already gone and we’re buying more.
Our local farm has opened up for grape picking so we’re excited to go see what they have to offer. We’re especially anxious to pick the concord grapes! Thankfully it’s apple season too so we’ll be picking apples and grapes soon! We love supporting our local farmers and of course, choosing local and organic whenever possible is great for our family. Not to mention the deals! You can score great deals when you pick your own – plus it’s fun!
When you go pick it’s easy to get lost in the picking process and keep picking. It’s almost like meditation for us. You become an instant farmer out there in the fields of fresh product, it’s invigorating. Picking can be a little messy, so always try to wear shoes that you can clean easily, or do like we do, we have shoes that are meant for getting muddy in our trunk since we go and pick often.
This recipe can be made in any blender, but we find that we get the best results with our Vitamix or Blendtec high-speed blenders. The skin won’t be an issue at all in a blender that can process each little bit. You can use red, green or even black grapes, We suggest that you use seedless grapes this way there’s not a ton of pieces in your slushie.
If your grapes are a little tart you can add a little honey. We have never felt the need to sweeten as we find that the grapes we pick are naturally sweet.
We hope you enjoy our Grape Slushie Recipe as much as we do!
