This is one of our favorite appetizers! Our guacamole recipe uses, ripe avocado, with red onions, cilantro, lemon, lime, and of course garlic!
I like to think I make the best guacamole. I also think that not everyone knows how to make it, so here’s our favorite recipe.
It’s simple, fresh and insanely delicious. The creaminess from the perfectly ripened avocado will fulfill any craving. We even like to take this recipe and mix it with a fresh homemade salsa, talk about good eats! They say avocado is part of the clean 15, however still opt for organic like we do with all of our produce. The one and only time we purchase conventional produce is when it’s local or not available in organic. I prefer my homemade guacamole recipe over some Mexican and tex-mex restaurants. They’ve been known to use prepackaged.
Look how perfectly it scoops and stays on the chip. It’s something special, that’s for sure. We use fresh and perfectly ripe avocados. The skin should be nice and dark and the avocado should be soft, not hard. If the avocado has dents it may be a little too ripened. We love to use LOTS of garlic and red onions. I prefer a chunkier style guacamole.
This guacamole recipe is so good you may not even need the chips to eat it. I love putting it on fresh toast, tortilla chips and over quinoa rice. I can’t resist this guacamole so I typically make a huge batch and put it into smaller containers, this way I have forced self control. With guacamole.. I have no will power. I like to make this every weekend and then again during the mid-week. It’s great on sandwiches, tacos, mixed in with salsa, burritos, seven layer dip and just a tortilla chip! Another great way to use it is mix in with your favorite salsa recipe and make two dips better as one! 🙂
Here’s The Best Guacamole Recipe 🙂
So just in case.. here’s our favorite recipe. It’s fool proof, and just remember to scoop it out of the skin and throw both the skin and pit away please 😉
