Strawberry Banana French Toast Burger makes for a fun and easy breakfast recipe. Use your favorite burger buns, we recommend brioche for french toast.
Just recently Whole Foods came out with their own bread products like sandwich bread, hot dog buns, and even burger buns! Up until now I would make most of them on my own but it’s nice to be able to pick them up in a pinch. These are the only store made breads that our daughter can actually eat with her FPIES food allergies. It seems like every single product on a store shelf these days has soy in some shape or form. She’s so sensitive to soy, we can’t even use many products that MAY contain or come in contact with soy or soy lecithin.
Breakfast is one of the main meals she actually enjoys the most, maybe it’s because breakfast is the most fun? 🙂 Especially if you’re having Strawberry Banana French Toast Breakfast Burgers! I may have gotten a little excited about her being able to actually eat the bread products and went overboard. Instead of making a traditional french toast I wanted to make something a little more fun. Her first safe foods were strawberries and then bananas. Both of those fruits happen to go extremely well with french toast!
Kids love fun, out of the ordinary, and delicious food so this is the perfect breakfast for any kiddo! Even an easy recipe to make for mom on Mother’s Day 😉
This breakfast sandwich is insanely good and a great way to use up those unused burger buns! Skip the meat, and get your produce in that bun! We love to drown it in a little (okay maybe a lot) local maple syrup. We even eat it like a sandwich. It’s one of those meals where’s it okay to get messy, eat with you fingers, and lick the plate clean. All perfectly acceptable and there’s no one judging you, just asking for their own!
