Strawberries are one of my absolute favorites. When we buy Strawberries, whether they’re fresh or frozen they’re ALWAYS organic. Strawberries are a part of the group of produce that you SHOULD if you can, always buy organic. Even though you purchase organic items you should always wash them really well.
FUN FACT: Strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside.

WHEN IS STRAWBERRY SEASON? Strawberry season runs from January until October, with it’s peak being April through June.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GROW STRAWBERRIES We actually like to buy the already planted strawberries (organic of course) when it’s the season for them. We typically see strawberries a few weeks after they are home 🙂
HOW TO STORE STRAWBERRIES Strawberries should always be stored in the refrigerator and NEVER wash them before storing. They should be washed before consuming.
HOW TO CHOOSE STRAWBERRIES You want a nice even coloring of red, firm, no blemishes, and obviously no signs of mold. Sometimes you’ll see darker red spots on your strawberries, this means they’re over ripe and she be used as soon as possible. Always pick ones that have green caps, not faded or brown.
