Make the first cut on the bottom of the watermelon. Repeat on the other side and cut off the top.
Stand the watermelon up and then start slicing off the rind from top to bottom. Get as close to the rind as possible, but ensure you're cutting off most of the green rind and white rind, not the red flesh.
Next, cut the watermelon into large round slices.
Then, make vertical slices and then horizontal slices to create watermelon chunks. Place the chunks into a large plastic bowl.
Store in a large container with a lid or a reusable silicone bag in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3-4 days.

Can't eat all the melon quickly? Freeze it for later, it will have a slight texture change, but it's still delicious in smoothies and sorbets!
