This Honey Garlic Salmon recipe is flavored with a luscious honey garlic sauce that has soy sauce, honey, and lots of garlic! Serve with rice and your favorite veggie!
Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch to make a slurry. Set aside.
In a small saucepan, heat up 1 tablespoon of avocado oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Be careful not to brown the garlic.
Add the honey and soy sauce to the saucepan with the garlic. Stir to combine.
Stir the cornstarch slurry into the sauce mixture. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook for about 1 minute, then remove from the heat.
Heat the remaining tablespoon of avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the salmon, skin side up, and cook for 5 minutes per side. Do not move the salmon until it's time to flip.
Once the salmon is fully cooked (with an internal temperature of 145°F), pour the honey garlic sauce over each salmon filet.
Serve the salmon with your desired sides.
