Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover the potatoes with cold water. Fill the saucepan enough so that the water is a good 3-4 inches above the potatoes.
Boil the potatoes on medium-high heat for about 15-20 minutes.
Chop the kale and slice the green onions.
While the potatoes are cooking place the kale, green onions, milk, and butter in another saucepan and cook until the greens are slightly wilted.
Drain the potatoes once they are fork tender and then place them back into the large saucepan.
Pour the kale and milk mixture over the boiled potatoes and mash it all together using a potato masher.
Season the mashed potatoes with salt to taste and serve as desired.
