lemon juice

Instructions
Place 1 cup of water and sugar into a saucepan on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.
Keep stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved into the water.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.
Pour 5-6 cups of water into a large pitcher.
Stir in the cooled simple syrup and 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
Taste your lemonade and add more water if needed as well as ice if desired.
Notes
Depending on your taste, you may want to adjust the amount of sugar. Start with less and add more if needed.
Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.
Serve chilled with ice, or add a few mint leaves for an extra refreshing twist.
You can also make this with Meyer lemons!
